Johnson Service Group is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Information Security Coordinator to join our growing Information Security team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, apprentice, Service Desk Analyst, IT Administrator, or someone with a keen interest in technology who wants to build a long-term career in information security.

No previous Information Security experience is required. We're looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in understanding how organisations protect their systems, data, and people from cyber threats.

Working closely with our Group Information Security Manager and industry-leading security partners, you'll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of security activities while supporting the day-to-day operation of our Information Security function.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Information Security Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting security initiatives across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing security tickets, action trackers, and follow-up activities
• Maintaining security documentation, procedures, and records
• Supporting security audits, compliance activities, and certification programmes
• Producing security reports, metrics, and management updates
• Coordinating security awareness campaigns and colleague communications
• Working with internal teams and external security partners
• Assisting with vulnerability tracking and remediation activities
• Supporting security improvement projects and initiatives
• Reviewing and triaging user-reported phishing emails
• Assisting with security investigations and incident follow-up actions
• Coordinating supplier security recommendations and audit findings

As your knowledge and experience develop, you'll gain exposure to security monitoring, threat management, incident response, security technologies, and broader cyber security operations.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills

Desirable

• Degree, apprenticeship, college qualification, or self-study in Cyber Security, IT, Computing, Technology, or a related discipline
• Experience gained through an apprenticeship, placement year, Service Desk role, IT support role, administration role, or similar environment
• Awareness of cyber security concepts such as phishing, malware, passwords, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
• Interest in Microsoft 365, security technologies, or information security
• Cyber security training, certifications, or personal learning projects
